Taking Time To Thank My Creator

My prayer to God:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you so much for the numerous blessings that you have given me.

Oh Lord, thank you for my health, and for my eyes that can see the bright sunrays pouring through the soft clouds and exposing the brilliant colors of your creation. Thank you for giving me ears to hear the songs of such beautiful birds singing to one another, and for giving me the ability to smell the mouth-watering aromas of freshly baked bread and warm chocolate chip cookies. What an awesome God to have given me senses that not only help me feel the wet dew under my bare feet and the warm sunshine on my face, but these senses also help me taste flaky, buttery biscuits and creamy homemade ice cream.

Father, you are so good to me. You have blessed me with a wonderful family that desires to serve You in life. Thank you for my dad and mom who love You with all their hearts. They seek to be a light to my sisters and I by living out Your word in all that they do. Thank you for my sisters who are always my support and help me to stray from wrong decisions. They both love You and desire to serve You with their lives. Help me to always look at the blessings of my absolutely amazing family.

Dear God, forgive me for those times when I go throughout my day and forget to thank you for these things in life. Too often I take these precious blessings for granted. Help me to always remember what You have done and for the blessings that You have so generously given to me. Thank you, Lord, for everything!
